Southaven Vision Center

Shawn Hellums, OD, a Memphis, Tennessee native, graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a double major in Biology and Chemistry.  He was a member of the National Honor Society.   

Dr. Hellums received his doctorate from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, and completed his externship at Vision America.  Dr. Hellums then opened his private practice in Southaven, Mississippi.  He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Mississippi Optometric Association.  Dr. Hellums is a participating optometrist of the InfantSee Program, and he is also the eye care provider for the Mississippi Riverkings hockey team. 

 

In Dr. Hellums’ spare time, he enjoys riding ATV’s and going to the beach with his wife and two daughters.
